Part-time work means your working time is below your sector's full-time norm (often 38 hours per week). Your contract must be written and state your work regime and schedule; pay, holidays and most premiums follow your working time pro rata.

Part-time workers have specific protections: fixed or variable schedules must be announced in advance, additional hours are regulated and can carry a supplement, and part-timers get priority when full-time or larger part-time hours open up with the same employer.
